The Assossiação Migrante Barcelos Cultural Center is a nonprofit organization that strives to bring people of all backgrounds together through the arts. We offer a variety of programs and events for people of all ages, including music performances, art exhibitions, film screenings, and more.

We will be having an art exhibit on Friday October 17th, 2025 at Memorial Hall - Toronto City Hall at 6:00 pm. Our Story

Our History

The Associação Migrante de Barcelos Community Centre was founded on October 20th, 1998, by a group of young people from Barcelos who initially formed a football team associated with Gil Vicente FC. Over time, it bacame an association devoted to spreading the traditions and culture of the Barcelos and Baixo Minho region.

Our Mission

At Associação Migrante de Barcelos Cultural Centre, our mission is to celebrate and promote the rich traditions of the Barcelos and Baixo Minho region. We strive to create a welcoming environment for all who wish to engage with Portuguese culture in Canada.

Our Vision

We are proud to have made a positive impact on our community by promoting understanding and appreciation of different cultures, and by providing a welcoming space for everyone to gather and celebrate.
